  • New Mothers and Fathers who feel they would benefit from expert advice and guidance in the first couple of weeks after they come home with their new arrival. This may be with advice and support for your baby’s feeding (both breast and bottle), bathing demonstration, promotion of good practice of sleep routine, sterility of equipment and education in all aspects of routine care of the newborn. Because it is a one to one support service you get to ask the things that are really on your mind.
  • Experienced Mothers and Fathers who need reassurance even though they have been there before. Every spare moment of their time will be used to the full, and this session can be a very worth while recap, especially if it has been a few years and guidelines may have changed e.g. Making up feed; First time to breast feed

How can we arrange a visit?

You can contact Bump Birth & Beyond directly by Mobile. If Sally is with another client, she will return your call as soon as she is available. Emails will be answered within 24 hours

How do you personalise the classes?

We tailor all classes to meet your individual requirements. Before meeting with you, your needs will be assessed by forwarding you a pre assessment form covering all topics. This gives you the opportunity to identify those topics you would like to focus on. A class is then prepared to ensure you only learn what is relevant to you. You and your Partner are given an opportunity to ask whatever questions are on you mind in the privacy of your own home.

How long will the Antenatal Class take?

From our experience with first time Mothers-to-be, it can take three to four hours to cover End of Pregnancy, Labour and Birth, Your Baby and some tips and advice for going home. For the experienced Mother, this can be covered much quicker depending on her previous experience. Classes can, however, be covered over two evenings if the couple feel the session will be too long.

How long will a Postnatal Visit last?

From our experience 2-2.5 hours will answer most of the questions you may have regarding your New Baby. This should also give time to demonstrate baby care e.g. bath time, nappy changing, umbilical cord care, making up feeds and sterilising equipment. Assistance with breast feeding will require some additional time.

Do I need anything for the Class?

Wear comfortable relaxed clothing for all classes.

Can I claim back for any of the services?

Depending on the type of medical cover you have with your Medical Insurer, this amount may be claimed at the end of your insurance year. If you do not have Medical Insurance the cost may also be off set through your tax at the end of your tax year ie. Med 1 will allow health cover where your Doctor has advised that you require particular services.

Can I order a Gift Voucher from Bump Birth & Beyond?

Yes, a gift voucher may be ordered directly and sent to the new Parents with a gift card, if requested. Introduction to baby massage and a treatment of Reflexology for the new Mum is a popular choice. Gift voucher for a postnatal home visit can also be facilitated.
